The Letters Festival was started by a small group of artists who believe in the power of independent literature and are committed to increasing its role in Atlanta’s rich artistic culture. The festival is the first collaborative effort between the founding members, but as individuals they have a wide array of experience and accolades including numerous publications in literary and art journals, participation in multiple art exhibitions, involvement in many community based art projects, including creating a monthly reading series, curating photography exhibits and working with a local literary magazine.
